Kankai Total Logistics LLP as a new venture of The Kanakia Group (estd. 1924) has set its own platform in developing Multimodal Transport Operations, Freight forwarding, FCL/LCL Consolidation, Project Cargo, Warehousing, Surface Transportation and some value added services like Door to Door Delivery, Cargo Insurance and handling Hazardous Cargo Shipments has carved a niche for itself as the market leader.
Over 80 years ago, the eldest among three brothers, late Shri Kanaylal M. Kanakia came to Bombay at a very young age of 18 to start this venture himself and with his family. In his mission he joined M/s. Bombay Shipping Agency as a clerk in 1918, for hands on experience, Shri Kanaylal there learnt the innovative ways and handled the services, and became an expert in the trade.
Within a short span of three years he established his own company named M/s. Kanayalal & Co. providing Custom House Clearing & Forwarding services. He was later joined by his two brothers the late Shri Uttamlal M. Kanakia who also worked as clerk in Bombay and the late Shri Manmohandas M. Kanakia who joined the company to shoulder higher responsibilities of administration of the new undertaking and shared a common vision.
The intelligent work of these three brothers paid off immediately and in two years time they were able to take one of their most important steps in their lives which assisted the entire shipping industry.
The next generation strived and took the initiative to develop a long-term business relationship with their customers. This relationship founded on their ability helped them to identify and recommend the best solution for each customer's business environment.
The third young and dynamic generation of the Kanakia Group further took the business to a level of new heights without losing focus of our 'Right-on-Time' delivery system by introducing a new venture organization in the year 2010.
